The sun casts rays of golden light
And traces the clouds in pure delight
The wind roars wild taking the breath from me
As the waves break in cheerful jubilee
I let go and I am whisked away
The wind my companion, it wants to play
Over the waves and surf, I fly
Then right back into a sun filled sky
And down again towards the land
I just barely graze the sand
The wind bids farewell and sails away
And leaves me on the beach to stay
But not for long as the waves do rise
And soon enough in comes the tide
The water is curious and comes quickly greeting
Our encounter so fast it is fleeting
Then back again it comes to me
Asking if I would like to sail the sea
Soon enough I am whisked away
It is now the water who wants to play
The sun filled sky is no longer light
To the water, I say goodnight
As on the waves I gently sway
Taking in the last light of day
